Timetable for Friday 31st October – Halloween
3.45 pm – Poets, performers and fellow walkers start arriving at the Regal Cinema Cafe in Stowmarket. Ghostly costumes are encouraged but not obligatory.

4.00 pm – A short selection of ghost poetry including ones in the voice of historical figures such as Mary Shelley, Henry VII and Anne Boleyn.
4.30 pm – Set out on the Ghost Walk – stopping off to read poems on the way.

5.00 pm – Fox Yard Studio – Halloween Art Exhibition featuring pictures from the extra-ordinarily talented Scott Johnson, accompanied by performances from Thirty Angry Ghosts

5.30 pm – Resume Ghost Walk, heading through the graveyard and down the Buttermarket to the Town Centre.

6.00 pm – Arrive at B-Side (John Peel Centre cafe) for final ghost poems and spooky halloween cocktails.

Amongst poems by other local writers, the night will feature one from Thirty Angry Ghosts so I’m currently looking for actors (amateur and professional) to perform/read poems as the historical figures. If you fancy yourself as a Julius Caesar, a Genghis Khan, a Cleopatra or any other historical character from the book, send me an email at suffolkwritersgroup@gmail.com or contact ‘Mai Black’ on Messenger. If you could send a very short clip of you performing that would be really helpful but don’t worry if not.

Thirty Angry Ghosts is available online and at Dial Lane Books in Ipswich.
